Sporadic shootings are ongoing at the first entrance gate to the National Assembly as Policemen and other security agents try to stop protesting members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), also called Shiites, from gaining entrance.

The protesters are calling for the release of their leader El-Zakzaki, who has been in detention since 2015.
