The Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Prof Nelson Brambaifa today in Port Harcourt played host to the Commander of the JTF Operation Delta Safe,
Rear Admiral Akinjide Akinrinade.

In his address, Rear Admiral Akinjide commended the NDDC for its performance within a short period of time especially in the area of infrastructural development promising that his unit which comprises the Army, Navy and Airforce will ever be ready to partner with the NDDC to provide security in the region.

In his response, Prof Brambaifa welcomed the JTF commander explaining that the NDDC has security of the region as one of its core mandates promising that the Commission shall partner security agencies to ensure the stability of the region.

He further revealed that as part of this mandate, the NDDC shall undertake the construction of access roads in Yenagoa and build modern Police Headquarter in Bayelsa state.
