It is my profound pleasure to felicitate with the NBA President, Paul Usoro, SAN, NBA NEC Members and observers alike, as we converge in Abuja for the National Executive Committee (NEC) Meeting of our dear Association, holding today, the 12th day of March, 2020.

As we gather to lend our voices for the good of our Nation and more particularly our NBA and the Legal Profession, I call on us to be more selfless in offering meaningful contributions towards repositioning the NBA and the Legal Profession.

I urge NEC to take more seriously, rising cases of brutalization of lawyers and other innocent citizens by the police and other security agencies and proffer lasting solutions to the ugly menace, and save the Nation from anarchy. Lawyers, particularly the young lawyers must be allowed to freely practice without fear of police molestation or any form of harassment.

I wish the NBA – NEC, fruitful deliberations, meaningful resolutions and a pleasant stay in the Federal Capital Territory. May God grant us
journey mercies to and fro our respective abodes.
