Mrs Winifred Iwuamadi, Esq., a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Onitsha Branch, has emerged among the latest allottees under the Lawyers Mass-Housing and Land-Banking Scheme being promoted by the Lawyers In Business Institute.

The development was announced by Chief Silas E. Agbara, Esq., Administrator of the Lawyers In Business Institute and Pioneer Secretary of the NBA Legal Entrepreneurship Committee, who said a limited number of plots were still available under the scheme at the existing rate.

According to Agbara, three plots in each available plot size remain open for allocation, with interested lawyers permitted to secure a plot by paying a 50 per cent deposit and spreading the outstanding balance over a period of up to two years through monthly instalments.

He said the initiative was designed to encourage lawyers to invest in real estate, develop residential flats for rental income and, where possible, provide accommodation for junior lawyers and other members of staff.

“Pick a plot from anywhere in the world, build into flats for tenants and create for yourself a permanent income stream,” the organisers said.

Senior lawyers were also encouraged to consider developing staff quarters as a way of easing accommodation difficulties faced by younger practitioners.

The organisers further announced physical inspection and allocation sessions in Abuja for Sunday, October 25, Monday, October 26, and Wednesday, October 28, 2026, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Interested lawyers who are unable to attend personally were advised that they could send representatives to participate in the inspection process on their behalf.

The scheme also provides what the organisers described as a facilitator’s incentive for persons who successfully refer new participants, with a minimum commission of ₦1.2 million, representing five per cent of the referenced transaction, being advertised.

Alongside the housing and land-banking initiative, the Lawyers In Business Institute also announced a Treasury Bills investment arrangement ahead of the Federal Government of Nigeria Treasury Bills primary market bidding scheduled for November 4, 2026.

According to information released by the organisers, participants in the ₦2.5 million category are projected to receive ₦424,000 as upfront yield, while those participating with ₦1 million are projected to receive ₦169,600 upfront for the stated one-year tenure.

The organisers also stated that a post-dated cheque covering participants’ capital would be issued for the one-year tenure.

Lawyers interested in the Treasury Bills and money-market programme can join the LIBI Cooperative and Money-Market Group through the following WhatsApp link:

The advertised returns and repayment arrangements are representations made by the organisers of the investment group, and prospective participants are expected to independently review the applicable Treasury Bills terms, prevailing auction rates and relevant documentation before committing funds.

The initiative is being coordinated through the Lawyers In Business Institute, with separate communication platforms created for the Mass-Housing and Land-Banking Scheme and the Treasury Bills and money-market programme.

Agbara, who is also a Senior Associate at M.I. Dikko SAN & Associates, said the broader objective was to encourage lawyers to diversify their income, acquire assets and explore legitimate business and investment opportunities alongside legal practice.

For enquiries relating to allocation and inspection, the organisers provided the telephone numbers 08060266163 and 08050489622.
