The former Chairman of NBA Ekpoma, Mr. Osehon Iehovbude, Esq,MCArb, has expressed sadness over the killing of a Benin based Legal Practitioner, Omo  Iyoha Osobase.

It would be recalled that about two weeks ago, lamentations from within and outside the Bar dominated the social media over the abduction of a learned friend and colleague, Omo Iyoha Osobase, Esq.

Omo Iyoha Osobase, Esq., was a member of the NBA Benin branch.

Besides, the Benin Bar his immediate constituency left no stone unturned in ensuring an endless search for his abductors through the instrumentality and in conjunction with the Police, Edo State command and other civil societies. Few days he was declared dead.

The police in Edo State also confirmed the death. THENIGERIALAWYER gathered that his alleged killers were said to have confessed to the killing and led a police team to the shallow grave where he was buried in Benin City, the Edo State capital.

Mr. Osehon, in his statement on Wednesday, said:

“Sadly we lost our own to the cold hands of death perpetrated by some unscrupulous elements masquerading as humans.

“This is indeed man’s inhumanity to man, No wonder the Bible says, the heart of man is desperately wicked,” he said.

Meanwhile, he lauded NBA Benin for their relentless efforts in seeing that bandits are caught.

“While commending the tirelessness, purposefulness and sagacity of the NBA Benin branch as well as the high sense of professionalism displayed by the Nigeria Police, Edo State Command in fishing out the perpetrators of this heinous crime, we must all join hands together to ensure that justice is not just done but seen to be done in this regard, as this amongst many other things is a duty we owe our departed colleague,” he added.

Adieu Omo Iyoha Osobase
