Former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch, Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, FCIArb (UK), has extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful as they celebrate this year’s Eid al-Adha.

In a message issued on Sunday, Akangbe described Eid al-Adha as a time for reflection, sacrifice, and gratitude to the Almighty, noting that the season embodies values that promote a stronger and more united society.
“Eid al-Adha is a time of reflection, sacrifice, and gratitude to the Almighty. It reminds us of the values of faith, obedience, compassion, and communal unity—virtues that strengthen our shared humanity and deepen the bonds that hold our society together,” he said.
He congratulated Muslims across Nigeria on the occasion, praying that the blessings of Sallah bring peace, prosperity, and renewed hope to individuals, families, and the nation at large.
Akangbe urged Nigerians to embrace the spirit of sacrifice, love, and togetherness that defines the sacred celebration, while also praying for divine acceptance of all acts of worship.
“TaqabalaLlahu minna wa minkum. Eid Mubarak to you and your loved ones,” he added.
