In Nigeria, smoking is prohibited in any vehicle used for conveying children regardless of whether children are present in the vehicle at the time of smoking.

Researchers say that smoking in vehicles is particularly detrimental to the health of children and nonsmoking adults because it quickly generates high concentrations of second-hand smoke in the relatively small space.

PENALTY
Fine of not less than N50,000 or six (6) months imprisonment or both.
