The Rivers State House of Assembly has formally invited eight commissioner-nominees for screening and confirmation as members of the Rivers State Executive Council.

The public announcement, issued by the Clerk of the House, G. M. Gillis-West Ph.D, on May 20, 2024, outlines the details of the screening process.

The commissioner-nominees summoned by the House of Assembly are:

1. Hon. Prince Charles O. Bekee
2. Mr. Collins N. Onunwo
3. Hon. Solomon Eke
4. Sir. Dr. Peter N. Medee
5. Hon. Elloka Tasie Amadi
6. Hon. Basoene Joshua Benibo
7. Mr. Tambari Sydney Gbara
8. Dr. Ovy Orluideye Chinendum Chukwuma

The screening and confirmation session is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Hallowed Chamber of the Rivers State House of Assembly, located in the Auditorium of the Administrative Block at the Rivers State Government House in Port Harcourt.

As part of the screening process, the nominees are required to submit twelve sets of their Curriculum Vitae (CV) along with the originals and photocopies of their credentials. This documentation will be carefully reviewed by the House of Assembly to ensure that the nominees possess the necessary qualifications and experience for their prospective roles as commissioners in the state executive council.
