Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, has debunked the rumour that he has declared to contest for the NBA Presidency.

The Learned Silk made this known in a chat with TheNigerialawyer (TNL), when asked whether he intends contesting for the number one position of the NBA.

According to him, he has not decided at all truly, adding that, he is consulting widely and praying, but no decision has been taken yet sir.

When asked whether he is considering contesting, he replied that indeed he is, but no decision has been taken on it yet.

Recall that the Learned Silk had earlier said in a press statement that there is a general consensus that Nigeria needs urgent rescue from the bar, at this critical moment of the life of Nigeria. Affirming that he is at the threshold of history concerning the NBA Presidency, he asked bar men for their prayers in that regard.

“In recent times, I’ve been consulting very widely, in respect of emerging issues within the Bar, the Bench and the Nigerian polity generally.

“There is a generally consensus that Nigeria needs urgent rescue from the Bar, at this critical moment of the life of our dear country. It is agreed that a radical Bar is required to pilot our democratic experience.

“I am therefore at the threshold of history concerning the Offcie of the President of the Nigerian Bar Association.

I seek your prayers in this regard, as we approach the coming Bar elections,” he said.
