I was deeply saddened by the shocking news about the death of His Lordship, Late Hon. Justice D.O.C. Amaechina of Anambra State Judiciary, who died on the 29th of February, 2020.

I write to convey my heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s immediate family, the Bar, Bench and entire legal community in Anambra State at this moment of grief. The late Legal icon has touched many lives and would remain forever in our hearts.
He was a mentor and role model to many judicial officers and lawyers both juniors and seniors alike. He was a stickler for professional discipline, kind and meekly hearted. He would do anything to help improve the judiciary and assist legal practitioners. The pains of his loss will remain with us for many years to come.
His death has left a big vacuum in the Judiciary in Anambra State. I pray God to grant eternal rest to his gentle soul and grant the Bar, Bench, his family and the entire Legal community in Anambra, the fortitude to bear this devastating loss.
