The Chairman of the NBA Abuja Branch, Mr. Bulus Atsen has called on the CJN, PCA, CJ FHC and CJ FCT High Court to abridge the annual vacation for 2021 in the interests of justice.

Mr. Atsen noted that the rule of law has suffered as a result of the shutdowns of the Covid-19 Lockdown and the two-month JUSUN strike.

During the interregnum, litigants and awaiting trial inmates whose cases were pending have suffered delays due to no fault of theirs.

The Justice system must be ready to work overtime to revive public confidence in the judiciary.

The Chairman also noted that the country is in a desperate situation that needs desperate measures. The judiciary must be the last hope of the common man.
