A growing number of prominent legal figures, including His Excellency M.A. Abubakar, SAN, former Governor of Bauchi State, senior advocates, and respected judges, have secured plots of land through the ongoing Lawyers In Business Mass-Housing & Land-Banking Scheme.

The initiative, aimed at providing affordable land opportunities to legal professionals and other stakeholders, is generating significant interest ahead of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference (AGC) 2025.

Participants are invited to visit the Lawyers In Business exhibition stand at the NBA AGC to explore available plots, which are being offered at previous prices for quick allocation. Interested parties stand a chance to win exclusive gifts during the event.

Twelve plots of various sizes remain available for immediate allocation, with Certificates of Occupancy (C.of.O) issuance by the Federal Capital Territory Minister already underway, as reported in The Nation newspaper (June 3, 2025, pages 23–29).

Prospective allotees and interested persons can attend site inspections scheduled for Friday, July 25, 2025 (5 p.m. to 7 p.m.); Saturday, July 26 (8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.); and Sunday, July 27 (5 p.m. to 7 p.m.). The temporary entrance to the site is located at the VON/Trademore Estate junction on Airport Road, Abuja.

Notable allotees in the scheme include SANs Babatunde Ogala, Folabi Kuti, Monday Ubani, Ebun Adegboruwa, Yemi Oke, Chuks Adiukwu, Mato Magaji, Ejike Ezenwa; senior legal practitioners such as Mark Okorie Ogbonna, Maxwell Ikhongbe, Azuka Azinge, Ezinwa Okoroafor, Nnamdi Ikpeze, Theophilus Odaudu, Chisom Ohuaka, Maxwell Boniface Mba, Femi Falana, Femi Olujimmi, and M.S. Abdulahi, among others. Several judges and legal professionals, including those in the diaspora, have also participated, though some prefer to remain anonymous.

Participants referring others for plot allocation are eligible to earn a 5% facilitator’s fee.
