Past National Officer of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Okey Leo Ohagba, Esq., has extended warm felicitations to the leadership and members of the NBA Ikeja Branch (The Tiger Bar) on the occasion of their 2025 Annual Law Week.

In a goodwill message on Monday, Ohagba praised the Adeniyi Quadri-led Executive Committee, the Law Week Planning Committee, and all members of the branch for organizing what he described as a timely and thoughtful event.

Themed “Preserving the Legal Profession for Tomorrow,” the 2025 Law Week, according to Ohagba, reflects a deep awareness of the current realities facing the legal profession amid rapid societal shifts and technological advancement.

“This theme reflects a thoughtful recognition of the evolving challenges within our profession and an urgent call for sustainable reforms in an era of rapid societal changes and globalized technological advancement,” he stated.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity and core values of the legal profession, noting that deliberate efforts must be made to build the capacity of younger lawyers through structured mentorship.

“Upholding the integrity and core values of our profession, as well as deliberate investment in the capacity building of younger lawyers through structured mentorship schemes, are some major steps towards safeguarding the future of legal practice,” he said.

Ohagba wished the branch a successful, impactful, and memorable Law Week, while encouraging participants to use the opportunity to reflect and collaborate on practical solutions for the future of the legal profession.
