Former First Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), John Aikpokpo-Martins, has extended his warm congratulations to Clement Bibisa Kekemeke, Esq., on his victory as the newly elected Chairman of the NBA Yenagoa Branch.

Kekemeke emerged victorious in the NBA Yenagoa Branch elections held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, polling 243 votes against his opponent, Pere Amanda Egbuson, who garnered 136 votes. His election is widely viewed as a resounding endorsement of his campaign message promoting “A United and All-Inclusive Bar.”

In his congratulatory message made available to the media, Aikpokpo-Martins praised Kekemeke’s long-standing commitment to service within the Bar and expressed confidence in his ability to lead with fairness and inclusivity.

“Your decisive victory is a clear reflection of the trust, confidence, and high expectations your colleagues have in your leadership and vision,” Aikpokpo-Martins stated.

“Your track record of tireless service—from the Publicity and Human Rights Committees to the Welfare and Law Reforms Committees—stands as a testament to your capacity and unwavering commitment to the growth of our Association.”

The former NBA Vice President also urged Kekemeke to remain steadfast in delivering on the ideals that earned him the mandate, stressing the need for unity and innovation in leadership.

“The journey to rebuild and strengthen the NBA Yenagoa Branch is one that requires courage and vision. I am confident that under your leadership, the Branch will rise to greater heights,” he said, ending with the rallying slogan: “Let’s Do It!”

Kekemeke, a Principal Partner at Serene Solicitors & Advocates and a legal practitioner called to the Bar in 2007, is set to be sworn into office on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. His extensive service to the Yenagoa Branch includes roles in various committees and chairing the NBA-Yenagoa AGC Planning Committee in Lagos (2022) and the current Welfare Committee.
