The clip, which has been widely circulated online, features Professor Ehinmidu, a renowned scholar of Pharmaceutical Microbiology at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, delivering a lecture despite the absence of students. While the exact date of the video remains unclear, it has reignited conversations around academic culture, discipline, and student engagement in Nigerian tertiary institutions.

Many users lauded the professor’s professionalism and unwavering commitment to teaching. One former student shared a strikingly similar experience from the year 2000, recalling how Professor Ehinmidu was already lecturing an empty hall during a 7 a.m. class. “I was about 8 minutes late, having traveled from Kaduna to Zaria, and he was already deep into the lecture,” the alumna wrote. “I ended up being the only student in class that day.”
