Blessing Agbomhere Esq., legal practitioner and lead partner at Ubiijus DLaw, has extended his congratulations to Mazi Afam Osigwe (SAN) on his recent election as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

Osigwe, the former Secretary General of the NBA, secured a resounding victory by polling 20,435 votes, defeating his closest rival, Tobenna Erojikwe, Chairman of the NBA-Institute of Continuing Legal Education Governing Council, who garnered 10,998 votes.

In a personally signed congratulatory message, Agbomhere hailed Osigwe’s election as a triumph not only for himself but for the entire legal profession in Nigeria. He expressed confidence that Osigwe’s tenure would usher in an era of progress, innovation, and transparency in the operations of the NBA. Agbomhere also called upon all learned silks to rally behind the new president and provide him with the necessary support to elevate the Association to greater heights.

Recognizing Osigwe’s qualities, Agbomhere described him as a diligent, astute lawyer and a strong advocate for professionalism. He emphasized Osigwe’s dedication to ensuring that the practice of law in Nigeria maintains a reputable standard and upholds the principles of the Rule of Law and respect for Fundamental Human Rights, which are among the NBA’s statutory mandates.

As Osigwe embarks on his new role, Agbomhere conveyed his well wishes and prayers, asking God to bestow upon him the knowledge and wisdom to effectively guide the affairs of the NBA in the years to come.
