About a year after the first edition of the Babalola’s Law Dictionary quiz competition, the second edition was even more dramatic as Abdul Abdulateef of Ikeji Shittu and Co. eventually emerged the winner in a keenly contested competition. It seemed a winner would not emerge as the contestants gave each other a run for their money until Abdul Abdulateef was an answer better.

The event was held at Onikan Youth Centre, Lagos last Friday, June 07, 2019, the venue which incidentally hosted the maiden edition of the competition.

The competition had in attendance, among other dignitaries, Mr. Yemi Akangbe, an aspirant to the Chairmanship position of the Nigeria Bar Association, Lagos branch.

During his speech, he expressed satisfaction with the purpose and contribution of the Babalola’s Law Dictionary quiz competition to the legal profession, especially the young lawyers. Also, in attendance was the chairman Nigeria Bar Association Young Lawyers Forum, ikeja branch, Mr. Ezekiel, among other dignitaries.

Nine (9) participants made it to the finals but Abdul Abdulateef, an associate at Ikeyi and Shittu emerged the winner, carting home the ultimate prize money courtesy of the firm of Perchstone and Grady’s.

Olaitan Victor of Macbenson Consult emerged the 1st runner up with N150,000 courtesy of the firm of Probitas Partners and Sandra Eke of SPA Ajibade and Co. came 2nd runner up with N100,000 courtesy of Twelve Legal
