ESSAY TOPIC
“whether Law Should or Should Not Be Influenced By Religion”

The Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN) received over 110 entries from students across the country in respect of the above essay topic.

This information was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL) by the Planning Committee Chairman, O. G. Chukkol.

Chukkol said after a critical assessment, the two students above, ADEBANJO Olamilekan Olamide, 400 Level Student, Faculty of Law, University of Ibadan and Nwankwo Blessing Anurika, 300 Level student, Faculty of Law, Obafemi Awolowo University emerged winners of the competition (the first and second positions respectively).

Their cash prize of N25, 000 (for the 1st position and N15, 000 (for the 2nd position) were sent to them respectively on Monday 13th of April, 2020

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic which has affected transportation, their Plaques would be presented to them at the South West LAWSAN Conference coming up in June.

Both of the two winners will also have one year Mentorship from Mr. Noble Chinwendu, Esq of Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie, Lagos, the sponsor of the competition

The LAWSAN President, Emmanuel Nwobodo and the National Director of LAWSAN Directorate of Policies congratulated the winners and urged them to keep the good work up. They also appreciated Mr. Noble Chinwendu for his sacrifice and his contribution to the progress of the Law Students Association of Nigeria through webinars and this very great competition that he sponsored.

They also appreciated the Planning Committee for job well done.
