NBA Flood Disaster Relief Committee Directs Affected Members To Provide Information To Concerned Branches

*Affected Members To Submit SCN, Bank Details, Phone number, Email, Details of Loss And Other Relevant Info To Concerned Branches

The NBA Flood Disaster Relief Committee setup by the NBA President, Yakubu Maikyau, OON, SAN to help in alleviating the sufferings of lawyers severely Affected by the flood which ravaged different parts of the country, has advised members in affected areas to reach out to their branches in order to be captured in the exercise.

In a statement by the Secretary of the NBA-FDRC, Daniel K. Kip which was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer, affected states include Koho, Anambra, Delta, Benue, Niger, Bayelsa, Cross River, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Nasarawa, Katsina and Jigawa states.

The statement read in part, “The Branch Chairmen in the affected States are therefore notified to collate, conduct a thorough verification, and submit the Names, SCN, Bank Details, Phone Number, Email, details of the extent of loss, and other relevant information of members of their branches SEVERELY affected by the flood.

It added, “Also, kindly note that the branches are to provide pictures and video evidence to substantiate the claims of the affected members. The above information is required to be sent in Microsoft Word version via email to: NBA-FDRC@nigerianbar.org.ng with asst.gs@nigerianbar.org.ng in copy.”

The NBA FDRC, also directed that all requested contact and information be made to Branches on or before the 1st of December, 2022.
