Sir Chris Dike, Esq., a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Lagos Branch, has been named among the latest allottees under the Lawyers Mass-Housing and Land-Banking Scheme, an initiative designed to encourage legal practitioners to acquire landed properties, develop residential accommodation and establish additional sources of income.

The development was announced by the organisers of the scheme, who also disclosed that a limited number of plots remained available for interested lawyers at the previously advertised rates.

According to the announcement, two plots described as being of 300 plot-size each and three additional earmarked plots are available for allocation.

The scheme, promoted through the Lawyers In Business Institute, encourages members of the legal profession to take advantage of property ownership opportunities by acquiring land and developing residential flats for rental purposes.

The organisers explained that lawyers could participate in the scheme from anywhere in the world, with arrangements available for property selection, inspection and allocation through authorised representatives.

“Pick a plot from anywhere in the world, build into flats for tenants and create for yourself a permanent income stream!” the announcement stated.

Senior members of the Bar were particularly encouraged to consider developing staff quarters as a means of addressing accommodation challenges faced by junior lawyers.

The promoters explained that such developments could provide accommodation for younger legal practitioners while allowing property owners to establish long-term rental income streams.

Under the payment arrangement, prospective allottees are required to make an initial deposit of 50 per cent of the cost of a plot to secure an allocation.

The outstanding balance may then be spread over two years through monthly instalments, allowing participants to complete their payments gradually.

The organisers also announced a referral incentive for individuals who introduce prospective buyers to the scheme.

According to the announcement, successful facilitators are eligible for a fee described as a minimum of ₦1.2 million, representing five per cent of the applicable transaction value.

Interested lawyers seeking additional information about the land acquisition arrangement have been invited to join the Mass-Housing and Land-Banking promotional WhatsApp group through the following link:

In a related development, the organisers announced a Treasury Bills investment opportunity through the LIBI Cooperative and Money-Market Group, with primary market bidding scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

Under the advertised investment arrangement, participants in the ₦2.5 million category are projected to receive ₦424,000 as upfront yield, while those participating in the ₦1 million category are projected to receive ₦169,600.

The figures represent the returns advertised by the organisers and are subject to verification against the applicable investment terms and Treasury Bills auction rates.

The promoters further stated that participants would be issued postdated cheques covering their invested capital for the advertised one-year tenure.

According to the announcement, the arrangement is intended to provide interested participants with access to money-market investment opportunities alongside the property acquisition programme.

Prospective investors are advised to independently confirm the applicable Treasury Bills rates, investment structure, repayment arrangements and the terms attached to the proposed postdated cheques before committing funds.

Meanwhile, the organisers have announced further opportunities for prospective allottees to inspect available plots and participate in allocation activities in Abuja.

The advertised inspection programme includes Sunday, November 1, and Monday, November 2, 2026, with activities scheduled between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on both days.

The original announcement also listed a Saturday inspection session as October 30, 2026, although that date falls on a Friday. Interested participants are therefore advised to confirm the correct date of the Saturday session with the organisers.

Lawyers who are unable to attend the inspection physically may nominate representatives in Abuja to inspect the properties and participate in the allocation process on their behalf.

The organisers said the arrangement was intended to enable legal practitioners residing outside Abuja, including those living overseas, to participate in the scheme without necessarily travelling to the location.

They reiterated that the Mass-Housing and Land-Banking initiative was aimed at encouraging lawyers to diversify their income, acquire landed assets and explore property development as an additional source of financial security.

The announcement also emphasised the importance of senior legal practitioners supporting younger colleagues through the development of staff accommodation, particularly in areas where the cost of housing poses challenges for junior members of the profession.

For enquiries concerning plot availability, payments, inspections, allocations and participation in the scheme, interested persons may contact the organisers through 08060266163 or 08050489622.

The organisers encouraged interested participants to make enquiries about the remaining plots and the available investment options before the announced inspection and bidding dates.
