“The Law Students Association of Nigeria, Directorate of Students’ Rights strongly applauds the step taken by the management of Obafemi Awolowo University, in suspending two lecturers for sexually harassing and molesting female students, Mr Bisi Olaleye of the International relations department and Monday Omo Etan of the Centre for Distance learning, and further handed him over to the police for investigation. The duo have been reported several times by various female students who were victims of their sextortion practice.

“The Directorate strongly commends this move by the university management, as it is a step in the right direction. We call on other universities to emulate same, and put an end to the ugly trend.”
