Joyce Oduah, NBA General Secretary-Elect, Promises To Work Assiduously To Transform Secretariat, Appreciates All Supports Given

The General Secretary-Elect of the Nigerian Bar Association, Joyce Oduah, FICMC has shown appreciation towards her emergence in the concluded National Elections.

This is contained in a statement issued by her which was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer titled “THANK YOU NOTE FROM JOYCE ODUAH, FICMC”.

“My very distinguished Colleagues, this is an extremely special moment for us. A few minutes ago, the 2020 NBA National Election which commenced at about 11pm on Wednesday, 29 July 2020 ended, and I was elected as the General Secretary of the NBA – the biggest and most vibrant Bar Association in Africa.

“Indeed, I am sincerely humbled and honoured by the avalanche of confidence you have reposed in me.” She said.

In addition, she extends her gratitude for the support shown to her throughout the process and promises to deliver on her campaign promises.

“May I use this medium to thank all my supporters, coordinators and well wishers, for your unwavering support and tremendous sacrifices. I could not have emerged victorious as the NBA General Secretary without your support. I am deeply indebted to you all. Be rest assured that I will deliver on the mandate bestowed on me and will keep to all my campaign promises, God willing. This is our victory and our moment!”

Furthermore, she expressed gratitude to the ECNBA and stated that to her, the election was free and fair notwithstanding the glitches.

“I must thank the ECNBA for a transparent, free and fair 2020 NBA National Election. Regardless of the minor election glitches, you will agree with me that the electoral process was seamless and credible.” She said.

Besides, she restates her commitment towards transforming the NBA National Secretariat in the following words:

“I am passionate about transforming the NBA National Secretariat, and I will work assiduously to achieve it with your support and cooperation. I believe that to transform the NBA, we need all hands on deck. Therefore, I am inviting you all to join me in repositioning the NBA for effective service delivery to all lawyers. I believe together, we can build the NBA of our dream.”

Also, she extends her gratitude to the Almighty God, noting that it would have been impossible without Him.

“I thank you immensely for the trust placed in me, and I pledge to honour that trust. Most importantly, I thank God Almighty without whom I can do nothing.”

“Welcome to the era of a reformed NBA National Secretariat.” She expressed.
