IT IS ILLEGAL TO PAY A WORKER MORE THAN 1 MONTH ADVANCE IN NIGERIA.
Relationships and affairs are often guided by laws. Employment, labour and productivity matters are clearly guided by the Labour Act and as such employers and employee cannot go contrary to the provisions of the Labour Act.
In Nigeria, employers are permitted to grant and pay their workers advances but no worker can be paid more than one month advance.
My authorities are sections 4, 91 and 92 of the Labour Act 1971.
