The members of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Nigeria, Niger Branch, have unanimously endorsed Joyce Oduah, FICMC as their sole candidate for the Office of the NBA General Secretary (GS). This was made known to the public by Barr. Halima Ahmed Mohammed, who is the Secretary of the Niger State Branch of FIDA.

In a statement signed and titled “LETS DO IT RIGHT TO MAKE IT RIGHT”, she stated thus: “Choice is one variant of opportunity not to be lost. The candidature of BARR. JOYCE ODUAH is a golden opportunity presented to us to secure all the good we want and imagine for our dear Association.

After a careful consideration of the manifestos, antecedents and profiles of all the candidates, the FIDA Nigeria, Niger State Branch, hereby endorses the candidature of Barr. JOYCE ODUAH for GENERAL SECRETARY, NBA and we respectfully commend her to you as the right choice for the office.

We believe in her capacity to effect positive change at the NBA National Secretariat. She is more credible and qualified to be our General Secretary than other contestants. As an executive member of the NBA, both at the Lagos Branch and National level, she displayed unparalleled brilliance, competence and unwavering commitment to service.

The NBA needs a GS who will rise at any time to protect the rule of law and good governance, and will also prevent the extravagant utilization of the NBA resources by other National Officers. We believe only Joyce can do these. As the National Treasurer, she served without blemish and we are confident that she will replicate this as General Secretary. VOTE Joyce Oduah. Do it RIGHT to make it RIGHT.”

Barr. Halima Ahmed Mohammed
Secretary, FIDA, Niger State Branch.
