Chairmen & Secretaries Of Anambra NBA Branches Align With EBF On Candidate Adoption, Say Inclined To Honour Those In Support Of Their Cause

The Chairmen and Secretaries of Anambra NBA Branches have reached a consensus on the issue of adoption of candidates by EBF amongst others.

This is contained in a resolution reached at its meeting held on 25th day of July, 2020 which was made available to TheNigeriaLawyer.

The resolution reads:

RESOLUTIONS OF CHAIRMEN AND SECRETARIES OF NBA BRANCHES IN ANAMBRA STATE AT ITS MEETING HELD ON 25.07.2020 AT OZO AMANKE OKAFOR BAR CENTRE AWKA.

1. The meeting aligns with the position of EBF in respect of adoption/endorsement of candidates for various positions with no EBF candidate.

2. We also resolved that while it is obligatory to abide by the position of EBF, we are however morally obliged to note and honor candidates who have always supported or likely to support our cause, like it happened in the greatest hour of our crisis in Anambra State Bar, following the gruesome murder of Late Barr. Barnabas Igwe and his wife together with their unborn child; the NBA led by the then National Executive, with great courage, moved the entire members of NBA in the country to seek redress and rally round the family of our late colleagues and the Anambra Bar.

3. To pay a Courtesy Visit on the PJCA, Court of Appeal Division, Awka, at a convenient date in August, 2020.
