Lawyers under the aegis Advocacy Committee of the NBA Women Forum have congratulated the 30th President-elect of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Olumide Akpata.

In a statement made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL) titled “CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR AMAZONS”, the Forum also congratulated the other national officers elected alongside Akpata.

“The Advocacy Committee of the NBA Women Forum heartily congratulate all the newly elected officers of the parent body, the Nigerian Bar Association.

“We congratulate the 30th President, Mr. Olumide Akpata, as well as all the other officers newly elected.” the statement reads in part

The Group specially congratulated the female candidates who emerged winners during the election and for Anne Agi who lost the position of Assistant General Secretary, they wished her better luck next time.

The statement partly reads:

“The Forum congratulates all her Amazons, Mrs. Joyce Oduah, the General Secretary-elect, Mrs. Mercy Agada, the Treasurer-Elect and Ms. Uchenna Nwadialo, the Assistant Secretary-elect. We are proud of you all.

“And to our Ms. Anne Agi, we say better luck next time. We are indeed proud of you too.”
