The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, ICMC Nigeria, has opened registration for its forthcoming Mediation Skills Accreditation and Certification Course scheduled to hold in Abuja from August 3 to 7, 2026.

The five-day physical training will take place at the ICMC Mediation House, KM 9, Musa Yar’Adua Expressway, Airport Road, Lugbe, Abuja, with daily sessions running from 9am to 5pm.

According to the Institute, the Mediation Skills Accreditation and Certification Training is its entry-level professional course and is open to individuals from all professions, disciplines and vocations.

The course fee is ₦350,000, covering the professional training designed to equip participants with practical skills for preventing, managing and resolving conflicts in personal, professional and organisational settings.

ICMC explained that mediation skills are essential life skills for building and sustaining relationships, improving communication and strengthening performance and productivity in the workplace.

The training will expose participants to practical, concrete and behaviour-specific techniques for managing disagreements and dealing more effectively with other people.

It will also present mediation as a user-friendly conflict-resolution tool that can be applied to everyday relationships, workplace disputes, commercial engagements and community interactions.

The Institute stated that participants who successfully complete the course and are subsequently inducted will qualify to use the professional designation AICMC, meaning Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators.

Professionals seeking to develop competence in mediation, negotiation, communication and conflict management have been encouraged to register for the programme.

Members of the Institute were also urged to share details of the training with their family members, friends, colleagues and associates who may be interested in becoming professionally trained mediators.

Interested participants can register through bit.ly/medactphy as a registration channel.

For registration and further enquiries, prospective participants may contact the Institute through +2348103209095, +234 9037416920 or +2348066292907.
