The police have released a Facebook user, Chioma Egodi, who gave an unfavourable review of Nagiko tin tomato.

Egodi made headlines after some netizens took to social media to protest her arrest by the police following her review of Nagiko Tin Tomato, a product of Erisco Food Limited.

According to Egoli, the tomato paste contained too much sugar, a claim the company’s management accused Egoli of making “to mislead our esteemed customers and discredit the image of Erisco Foods Limited.”

In an X post, Tuesday, Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, Babatunde Irukera, announced Egoli’s release.

“Further Update: Ms Chioma has been released on bail. Mutual commitments by both parties before the police,” Irukera’s post read.
