President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has called on 169 commissioned Cadet Officers, who graduated from Police Academy Kano, to put the nation at heart and exhibit their constitutional responsibility with utmost dedication and commitment.

This is just as President Tinubu charged the Graduands of the Nigerian Police Academy to adhere to the ethics of modern policing and shun all forms of corruption.

Speaking on behalf of President Tinubu, on Saturday Kano, the vice president, Senator Kashim Shettima, delivered his address during the Passing Out Parade of the 5th Regular Course Cadets, held at the Nigeria Police Academy Wudil, Kano.

He told the graduands that henceforth the earlier loyalty they demonstrated to their families must be immediately shifted to the Nation’s building

The President added that the country at this crucial period needed their unalloyed and unflinching support for the populace to feel their contribution and enhance rapid development

” You are by this noble institution you have passed through and have acquired academic advantage, must be ready to demonstrate this through discharged responsibilities without fair or favour, because the entire nation is your constituency, and you must not fail the teeming masses of this great nation’

Tinubu said the country has faith that the graduates who were trained both academically and professionally would positively impact the security architecture of the Nation, aimed at having a secure Nation.

According to him,’ his administration would not relent in providing all the necessary support to the Academy, stressing that the Nigeria Police Academy is one of the best training grounds for police officers in the sub-Saharan region.

He then urged the cadet officers to stay vigilant to the ideals of the Nigerian Police, geared towards ensuring effective service delivery.

” You must put the nation at heart and exhibit their constitutional responsibility with utmost dedication and commitment.

Tinubu also charged them ‘ to put in mind that Nigerians have high expectations of you; therefore, you should brace up to face the challenges ahead “

The Federal government will provide all the needed infrastructure and support to the Academy to move the Academy to a greater height.

Earlier, the Nigeria Police Academy AIG Sadiq Abubakar said 169 Cadet Officers Graduated from the academy and are ready to face the challenges ahead.

Abubakar added that the graduands have been trained both in Character, Academically and professionally.

According to him, the Degree Awarding institution, which was established in 2009, has, from inception to date, Graduated officers who have contributed immensely to the development of the nation’s security Architecture.

He then commended the Federal government’s commitments towards repositioning the academy in terms of infrastructure and the needed logistics.

Amongst the notable personalities that graced the ceremony include the Acting IGP Kayode Egbetokun, Service Chiefs, Emirs, Parents of Graduates and other stakeholders.
