The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, says the Nigerian Military will avenge the killing of its personnel ambushed on the Zungeru-Tegina road in Niger State on August 14.

The attack and subsequent rescue mission crash resulted in 36 military casualties. At a funeral for 20 deceased personnel in Abuja, Gen. Musa vowed none of the adversaries will go unpunished.

He stated the military would hunt down and smoke out the perpetrators, ensuring they can never kill again. “We will not relent until we get those causing havoc in the country,” Gen. Musa emphasized.

The Defence Chief expressed grief alongside the families of the fallen heroes, including recently enlisted Private Habib Aliyu and 15 others. He assured their deaths would not be in vain.

After laying wreaths on their graves and presenting national flags to next of kin, Gen. Musa reiterated the military’s resolve to avenge its fallen and bring the killers to justice. His emotional remarks highlighted the profound loss felt across the armed forces.
