It has come to the attention of TheNigeriaLawyer(TNL) that there exists an honest mistake in the above publication of ours dated 20th May, 2020 that has the same content with another publication, but with different titles and authors, to wit:

Consequent to the foregoing, TheNigeriaLawyer(TNL) wishes to state as follows:

1. The first publication dated 8th day of May, 2020 was authored by Harold Benson and he has confirmed this to us,

2. The second publication dated 20th May, 2020 was innocently (but mistakenly) credited to the learned silk by one of TheNigeriaLawyer(TNL) Editors who was given an assignment to work on a similar article.

TheNigeriaLawyer has over the years built a track record of fair investigative journalism, hard work, sincerity, due diligence, honesty and transparency in all her publications.

On this basis, TheNigeriaLawyer(TNL) wishes to retract the publication dated the 20th day of May, 2020 and accordingly apologize for the inconveniences this might have caused to Harold Benson, Chief Awomolo, SAN and the general public.

Benson has demanded that the second article which bears Chief Awomolo, SAN as the author be retracted and we hereby retract same.

We apologize to Harold Benson for the embarrassment and inconvenience caused by the publication.
