In a statement made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL) personally signed by him titled “THANK YOU CHIEF WOLE OLANIPEKUN, PAST PRESIDENT”, Mr. Martins said: “.
“Let me say that I was pleasantly surprised when I read of the benevolent and wonderful gesture of our past President, Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN who magnanimously and from the abundance of his freewill made a gift of 2 cars to 2 young lawyers of the Ilorin Branch vide a raffle draw.”
He described it as “a glittering and commendable gesture that very senior and well-endowed members of the bar should emulate. It is also gladdening to know that we still have very senior members in the profession that look out for the welfare of younger members. It is time for the NBA to be about lawyers and their welfare.”
Martins congratulated the two beneficiaries of the cars and the Chairman of the Branch, Mr. M.A.I Akande, Esq.
