Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) said the 14 days extension to the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and FCT ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari is better than an indefinite extension which was rumoured at the weekend.

Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Sagay said though the extension is depressing and uncomfortable, it is far better than locking down the country indefinitely.

Said with the latest development, Nigerians can begin to make plans for the next two weeks.

“Certainly, the 14 days extension is a more favourable option than the extension without any date of termination like the rumour we were hearing two days ago that the President said we should just stay home until his advisers tell him to lift the lockdown. That would have been horrible”.

“Wity this, Nigerians can start making plans towards the next two weeks. It is not convenient and definitely not comfortable and intact, a little bit depressing but there is no choice” he said.
