The Learned Silk made this call while speaking as the guest speaker at the NBA Uyo monthly branch meeting on Friday, 29th November 2019.
Dr. Ajibade in his presentation identified attitudinal, structural and constitutional causes as the reasons for the delay and inefficiency in the court system.
He advocated that Lawyers must unite in a bid to reform and reposition the profession to restore the confidence of clients who are already disenchanted with the poor quality of justice delivery in the country.
Dr. Ajibade suggested that legal practitioners must close rank and devise an emergency program to tackle all the problems bedeviling the profession.
He further added that enlightenment and representation, development of proper cost Jurisprudence, enhancement of the efficiency of the disciplinary process, legislative reforms where necessary and passage of the Civil of Justice Administration bill as possible panache to the problem.
