President Bola Tinubu has approved the immediate construction of new hostels at the Nigerian Law School, Abuja Campus, and a key road linking the Body of Benchers Secretariat in Jabi District to Nile University.

A statement issued Tuesday by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister, confirmed that the projects are to be executed under emergency consideration. The President directed the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to oversee implementation.
The hostel project will include two purpose-built facilities, each accommodating 300 students one for female students and the other for male students aimed at improving living conditions for law school students in the nation’s capital.
On infrastructure, the President also approved the construction of an access road linking the Body of Benchers Secretariat to Nile University.
The FCT Minister’s office said the road will provide smooth access to the Secretariat and help ease traffic congestion on the busy route to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) headquarters.
The promotion, which commenced on January 8 and runs until February 8, 2026, offers five core maritime law books authored by Dr. Emeka Akabogu, SAN, ordinarily valued at N405,000, for just N150,000 — a 63% discount.
