A legal practitioner and former national officer, Okey Leo Ohagba, Esq., has called on members of the legal profession and Christians to reflect on the values of sacrifice, love and redemption as they commemorate Good Friday 2026.

In a message addressed to Bar leaders and colleagues of the Christian faith, Ohagba described the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ as a profound symbol of obedience, love and divine purpose, urging lawyers to draw inspiration from its lessons in their professional and personal lives.

He noted that the sacrifice on Calvary represents a path to renewal, strength and wisdom, encouraging legal practitioners to pursue justice with integrity and a deep sense of responsibility.

According to him, Good Friday serves as a reminder that true strength lies in sacrifice, while genuine victory is achieved through humility and surrender to higher ideals.

Ohagba emphasised that the day also reinforces enduring values, stressing that love is stronger than hate and hope more powerful than despair.

He urged members of the legal community to allow the significance of the occasion to inspire a deeper commitment to truth, justice and service to humanity.

The legal practitioner further expressed hope that the solemn reflection would strengthen faith and foster greater compassion among lawyers in their dealings with others.

He concluded by wishing Christians a blessed and reflective Good Friday.
