Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Anaocha Branch, is set to host its inaugural annual lecture in honor of the late Chief Charles E.N Obegolu. The event will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at The Chief Charles E.N Obegolu Bar Center, Obeledu, Anaocha Local Government Council of Anambra State, starting at 10 a.m.

Late Chief Charles E.N Obegolu, a renowned legal practitioner, had made a significant impact in active litigation, primarily within the old Eastern Region of Nigeria. In recognition of his legacy, the magnificent Bar Center was named after him.
The theme for the upcoming lecture is “Time-Efficient Justice Delivery: Leveraging the New Anambra Multi-Door Courthouse Law, 2022.” The lecture will be delivered by Amb. Victor A.AA Ojaide, FICMC, an internationally respected Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) consultant. The panel of discussants will feature prominent legal figures, including Chuka Ikwazom, SAN, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, and Mr. Tobenna Erojikwe. Additionally, Madam Joyce Oduah, FICMC, will present a paper on the new plea bargain practice and procedure outlined in the new Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Anambra State, 2022.
Following the memorial lecture, NBA Anaocha Branch will host an evening cocktail party for its members, guests, and attendees. The event aims to foster camaraderie and provide a platform for legal professionals to network and engage.
