How long has it been? A week? Two weeks? Three weeks? A month? Two? Most of us have lost count and along with it hope. But this is not the time to lose anymore thing, we have lost quite enough; Our social lives, our schools, our offices, our countrymen etc. Hope seems to be all we have left. We need to hold onto it.

Day after day it seems to be getting worse. More people are infected, more deaths are recorded but I have heard of the saying, “the darkest hour is that which is closest to dawn” so the darker it gets, the more convinced I am that it’s almost over.

Are we going to sit in panic, worry, anxiety and hopelessness till the dawn comes? No! We will fight it. Though not with weapons and ammunition but with abstinence. We will avoid the general public, we will wash our hands as at when due, we will top up our personal hygiene.

We will stay safe and continue staying safe for staying safe at this period is not only for us but for our families, our fellow citizens and most especially our medical practitioners who do not have much of a choice than to take care of the fallen soldiers till they rise again.

Let us adhere to the safety precautions so that the sacrifice they are making will not be in vain.

While doing all these, let us pray and have faith for nothing lasts forever. The Spanish flu of 1918 attacked and claimed over 50 million lives but it went away someday; it didn’t stay forever.

Brethren, let us keep our fingers crossed and do what we ought to, avoid anxiety, give ourselves reasons to be happy, watch comedy videos if need be, give a helping hand to others in need for it is not the end of the world.

Christ himself said it that this too shall pass. Well, do you believe him? Because I do solemnly.
