TheNigeriaLawyer Celebrates Barth Okoye Aniche On His Birthday.

Barth Okoye Aniche Esq., the Principal Partner, Barth Okoye Aniche & Co., an Aba based lawyer has clocked a year older today, 20th May, 2020.

Sir, as you add one more year to your life, the management and entire staff of TheNigerialawyer (TNL) wish you nothing other than the best of heaven’s keep.

Barth Okoye Aniche an astute Bar leader has served the Bar in many capacity.

Barth Okoye Aniche Esq. attended the University of Nigeria, and was called to Bar in 1991. He attended the NBA Conference Port Harcourt in 1992 and joined the Aba Branch of the NBA same year.  
He became the Assistant Secretary (1993-1995), and Welfare Secretary (1995-1997) of the NBA Aba Branch.

He was at the Jos conference in 1997 for the unification of the NBA after the Port Harcourt election problem of 1992. Barrister Barth became the National Publicity Secretary of the NBA (2004-2006), and National Welfare Secretary of NBA (2006-2008). Through his immense contribution as the Welfare Secretary, the NBA started providing accommodation for her NEC members till date. It was also during his tenure, and with his stout involvement as Welfare Secretary that Young Lawyers Forum was formed and inaugurated at the Bauchi NEC Meeting in 2007.

In 2008, Barth Okoye Aniche Esq. became the 3rd Vice President NBA― an office he held till 2010. During his two years as 3rd Vice-President, Barrister Barth participated in the resolution for the amendment of Fundamental Rights Enforcement Procedure in 2009. He represented NBA at the Nigerian Project ‘VISION 2020’. He became a Member, Council of Legal Education (2009-2011).
As a member of Council of Legal Education, he was part of the team that worked for re-accreditation of Law faculties of UNICAL, UNIUYO and Benson Idahosa University. He was appointed the Lead Team of the Council for the final check and opening of Yenagoa Law School because of his astounding qualities. ‘Archival’ as he is fondly called by friends, Barrister Barth has been an NBA NEC member from 2004-2012, and from 2016 to Present.

Barth Okoye Aniche Esq. is very versatile and is an encyclopaedia of the activities of the NBA family from of yore. He is a foundation member of EBF and had delivered, through hard work, some of EBF members into NBA national offices. He is a member of International Bar Association and attended her conferences in Spain, Canada, USA and Cape Town (South Africa), African Bar Association, American Bar Association (Section on international Law), Pan African Lawyers Union (PALU).

He was a member of NBA Disciplinary Committee South-East (2016-2018); member NBA Election Monitoring Committee (2016-2018); and a member of NBA SPIDEL.

Barrister Barth is a very sociable and ruthlessly effective personality who has the interest of young lawyers at heart. He has severally sponsored members of the Young Lawyers Forum to the Aba branch Bar functions, NBA national functions, and has occasionally paid their practising fees. His hobbies are swimming, reading, with a strong following in Football and Current Affairs. He is happily married to Mrs Chinyere Okoye Aniche, and together they have two children― Amarachi and Jethro.
