He said young lawyers are special species in the legal profession.
“Lack of pupilage, mentoring, and mentorship make many of them wallow in difficulties in the practice of law.
“Some of them who started practice without pupilage or mentorship make very costly mistakes even outside the courtroom that has made them and is still making them lose clients or money.
“Moving forward, senior lawyers should not see themselves as role models to New entrants to the profession, but also pay the agreed minimum wage or allowance to young lawyers.
He further added that lawyers should be encouraged to go into partnership and as well as encouraging specialization.
This in my view will enable us to pool resources and provide better services to prospective clients and improve the welfare of lawyers,” he said.
