The young lawyer, Mr. Temitayo Igunnu, who was battered by the army has been released from the police station on bail, TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL) gathered.

The NBA Lagos Secretary, Moshood was said to have applied for his bail.

Up till now, the young man do not know the whereabouts of his car. But he has been advised to go for medical treatment yet while the issue regarding the car would be addressed afterward.

TNL learnt also that the naval officer lodged a complaint of assault against the young man.

TNL recalls that Mr. Igunnu was today around Apongbon, Lagos battered by some soldiers attached to Bonny Camp while on his way to work.

Eye witnesses said the young lawyer was handcuffed and bundled to Bonny Camp for challenging a naval rating who broke his car mirror.

Lawyers from both the NBA Lagos Branch leadership and its Human Rights Committee besieged the Bar Beach Police Station to secure his release.
