After screening two ministerial nominees, the Senate has suspended the exercise.

Senate will reconvene at 4pm to continue the screening process.

The third day of the exercise, started with the immediate past Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

During his screening, Malami stated that “It is my desire to operate within the spirit of constitution of Nigeria that established the need for integration.”

He added that “In three years 12, 412 criminal cases were successfully prosecuted. During my time as AGF, we increased the balance in FG recovery account from N19bn to N279bn.”

The second nominee for the day was Hadi Sirika from Katsina state.

He was the immediate past Minister of Aviation.

Sirika was asked to take a bow and go.

26 nominees have so far been screened.
