Senate has closed the screening exercise for the ministerial nominees for the day.
At some minutes after 6pm, after screening the first female nominee, Sharon Ikeazor (Anambra), who is the Executive Secretary of Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Senate President Ahmed Lawan then called a halt to the process and asked the Senate Leader, Senator Abdullahi Yahaya to move a motion to revert to plenary session, which was carried by the Red Chamber.
The Senate President then announced that they would be screening at least eight nominees tomorrow and more if time permits them.
Ahmed Lawal then closed the session and said they would be reconvening tomorrow at 11 in the morning to continue the process.
On the first day of screening the Senate was able to clear 10 nominees.
President Muhammadu Buhari had sent a list of 43 to the Upper House on Tuesday for consideration to become ministers.
