*Denies Contract Irregularities, Clarifies Pastor Adeboye’s Board Appointment Timeline

On Friday, Ronchess Global Resources Plc issued a detailed response to allegations published by Sahara Reporters on August 28th regarding road construction contracts awarded by the Kaduna State Government.
The online publication had alleged that Pastor Adeolu Adeboye, a board member of Ronchess, was awarded contracts by the state government and that some of the projects were abandoned.
In its rejoinder, Ronchess clarified that Pastor Adeolu Adeboye was not a board member at the time the contracts were awarded in 2020 through proper bidding processes. The company stated that it had successfully executed several prior contracts for the Kaduna State Government from 2018-2020 before Pastor Adeboye joined the board in 2021.
Ronchess provided a detailed status of the eight road projects in question, noting that four have been 100% completed while others are at advanced stages but awaiting government actions such as compensation payments to displaced residents. The company said it continued work for six months despite payment delays from the state.
Ronchess instituted a lawsuit against the Kaduna State Government for outstanding payments of nearly N1.4 billion. It alleges the state government has resorted to intimidation tactics by instigating the EFCC, police and ICPC to harass the company’s directors over a civil contractual matter that is before the courts.
The company also clarified that the Adebimpe Adeboye mentioned is not related to Pastor Adeolu Adeboye as erroneously claimed. Ronchess believes the publication deliberately targeted the Adeboyes due to the church leadership role of Pastor Adeolu’s father, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
Ronchess restated its legal rights against any inhuman treatment or arrest over civil disputes. It said the allegations are receiving the attention of its legal representatives for further actions. The company urged the public not to be misled by the claims made in the Sahara Reporters article.
