The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA) has announced the successful dispatch of trial authentication messages to all registered eligible voters ahead of the 2026 NBA National Elections scheduled for Monday, July 20, 2026.

In a notice dated June 23, 2026, and signed by the ECNBA Chairman, Aham Ejelam, SAN, and Secretary, Ibrahim Aliyu Nassarawa, Esq., the committee said the messages were sent via email and SMS by the Electronic Voting Service Provider, Mikrodigital Connect.

According to the ECNBA, the exercise forms part of the platform readiness and voter accessibility testing phase for the election, which will operate under the Supreme Court Number and One-Time Password authentication framework.

The committee explained that the trial messages are intended to verify that contact details contained in the voters’ register are active and accessible, and to ensure that every eligible voter can be reached through the authentication channels that will be used on election day.

While confirming that the messages had been successfully dispatched from the EVSP’s end, ECNBA noted that delivery times may vary depending on individual email service providers and mobile network operators.

It therefore advised eligible voters to check their email inboxes, including spam and junk mail folders, as well as their registered mobile phone numbers, for the trial message.

The committee further directed any eligible voter who does not receive the trial email or SMS notification to report the non-receipt promptly to the dedicated technical support desk via support@ecnba.zohodesk.com.

ECNBA said such reports must be made within 48 hours of receipt of the notice, using the subject line: “Non-Receipt of Trial Message — [Full Name] — [SCN].”

Affected voters are required to include their full name as it appears on the voters’ register, Supreme Court Number, NBA Branch, registered email address and registered phone number.

The committee assured members that all reported cases of non-receipt would be investigated and resolved by the EVSP under the oversight of the Data Protection Officer, Thanelinc Nigeria Limited, and the ECNBA IT Technical Consultant.

It added that ensuring the accessibility of every eligible voter to the electronic voting platform on election day remains a priority.

ECNBA also reminded voters that it is in their interest to ensure that their registered email addresses and phone numbers are active and accessible before July 20, 2026.
