The Nigeria Police Force has detained a police officer who appeared in a recently viral video showing the sons of Lagos businessman Chief Okoya engaging in the abuse of Nigerian currency.
Following a thorough investigation, the officer was identified and is currently facing disciplinary proceedings for his unethical conduct in the incident.
The Force Public Relations Officer stated: “The Nigeria Police Force strongly condemns the involvement of any of its personnel in such unethical behavior. This conduct goes against the core values and principles of the Force.”
“We want to reassure the public that the NPF remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and will continue to uphold the sanctity and credibility of the Force,” the statement added.
