*Asks For More Development At Local Govt Levels

The Immediate Past National Assistant Secretary and the  Immediate Past Secretary, Nigerian  Bar Association  National Welfare Committee, Ewenode O. William, Esq, has commemorated with the Deltans, the people of Edo and the governments of Delta and Edo States, on the 30th anniversary of the creation of the States, saying it is a well deserved celebration.

Ewenode, who is also a Pioneer  Past Secretary, NBA Effurun, in his statement Tuesday, said: “It is with much pleasure to first thank the Almighty God for the creation of the two States of Delta and Edo States from the defunct Bendel State.

“There is no doubt that the creation of the two States and other States have to some extent brought government closer to the people. Who could have thought a man from a minority tribe could be a Governor or the President of Nigeria if there was no State like Bayelsa?

“I, therefore, without hesitation join the Governors of Delta and Edo States as well as other States that were created by the Military to celebrate their State creation .

He also urged that more attention be paid to greater development at the Local Government levels.

“Once again, congratulations to the Government and the People of Delta and Edo States.

“Happy Anniversary.!”
