My deepest sympathies are with NBA Owerri Branch, and indeed, the entire NBA, for the passing unto glory of a vibrant and dedicated senior member of NBA Owerri Branch – Mr. Uche Wisdom Durueke

The loss of Mr. Durueke is a sad event for the entire NBA, most especially, the Owerri Branch where he was an active and dedicated member. Mr. Durueke was well known for his human rights activism and always had a forthright and unwavering position on issues affecting the legal profession and the Nigerian society. He was accessible to all and was loved by most of his colleagues.

I pray that God will comfort Mr. Durueke’s family, friends, and all of us – his colleagues – during this difficult time, and also give everyone the fortitude to bear this loss. My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Durueke’s family, friends and colleagues. May he continue to rest in the bosom of God forever and ever.
