The Nigerian Law School, led by Director-General Prof. Isa Hayatu Chiroma, SAN, has released the requirements for registration for the Bar Part I programme.

The announcement, issued by the Admissions Office on September 20, 2024, outlines the necessary documents and identification needed for prospective students to register.

According to the release, students are required to provide a print out of their provisional or full admission status, evidence of school fees payment in the form of a payment receipt, and their resident permit from the country where they obtained their LL.B degree. Additionally, students must submit their admission letter to the Nigerian Law School.

For identification purposes, registrants are required to present one of the following: an international passport, a driver’s licence, a National Identification Number (NIN) slip, or a voter’s card.

The Nigerian Law School, which is responsible for providing vocational training to aspiring legal practitioners in Nigeria, conducts the Bar Part I and II programmes. Successful completion of these programmes is a prerequisite for being called to the Nigerian Bar.
