The Council of Legal Education, through the Nigerian Law School, Bwari, Abuja, has released the official timetable for the Bar Part I Re-sit Examinations scheduled to hold from Monday, 26 January 2026 to Tuesday, 3 February 2026.

The re-sit examinations, which provide candidates who were unsuccessful in specific subjects during the main Bar Part I exams with another opportunity to qualify, will take place at the Nigerian Law School Abuja Campus. All papers are scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily.

Here is the detailed timetable as released:

  • Wednesday, 28 January 2026Constitutional Law (R3)
  • Thursday, 29 January 2026Nigerian Legal System (R2)

  • Monday, 2 February 2026Equity & Trusts (Rm3)
  • Tuesday, 3 February 2026Law of Evidence (Rm2)

The timetable is signed by Prof. Isa Hayatu Chiroma, SAN, Life Bencher, the outgoing Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, whose tenure concludes on January 9, 2026, with Dr. Olugbemisola Odusote set to assume office as the first female Director-General from January 10, 2026.

Candidates are advised to prepare adequately for these examinations, which form a critical part of the vocational training required for admission to the Nigerian Bar.
